NATIONAL ARTISTS SURVEYS

Every quarter, The Art Festival Newsletter conducts a national survey of artists--the only such surveys in the nation.

Topics are chosen for their relevance and importance to artists who exhibit in art festivals. Questions are formulated to provide broad-based and precise knowledge of these topics that artists can use in pursuing success in their art festival careers.

So far in 2010, the surveys have addressed two areas: the effects of the recession and art festival application and acceptance.

These two vital surveys have created a basis of information not otherwise available, enabling artists to understand how their experiences and festival practices relate to those of others. Each survey invited over 3,000 artists to participate.

Equally important the survey results are provided to more than 800 of the nation’s top festivals, informing them of artists’ experiences, concerns and viewpoints.

The surveys are created, produced, mailed, collated and reported upon without charge to artists.
